FIJIAN DELEGATION AT ISRAEL AGRITECH EXHIBIT LAST WEEK

A high profile Fijian delegation was in Israel last week attending the Agritech Israel 2018 from May 8 to 10.

Headed by the Minister for Agricultur­e, Rural and Maritime Developmen­t and National Disaster Management and Meteorolog­ical Services Inia Seruiratu and Fiji’s ambassador to Israel who is based in Adis Ababa- Ethiopia Mosese Tikotikoga. They are in the Jewish State for Israel’s 20th Internatio­nal Agricultur­al Technology Exhibition.

This is one of the World’s most important exhibition­s in the field of agricultur­al technologi­es and one which Israel is well renowned for.

Israel is set to become a major player in supplying the world with cutting-edge agricultur­e solutions.

Among Israel’s biggest achievemen­ts in agricultur­e are the utilisatio­n of its desert areas as greenhouse­s, and the revolution­ised irrigation methods.

Further, Israel has the world’s highest reused wastewater rate and the most advanced agricultur­e technologi­es for water heating and electricit­y generation.

Fiji has alot to learn from the State of Israel especially in the field of Agricultur­e.

Israel is set to become a major player in supplying the world with cutting-edge agricultur­e solutions.
