Howard Politini to ask the Minister for Agriculture, Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management and Meteorological Services – Fiji signed a Resilience Project Agreement with the Food and Agricultural Organisation that will see the delivery of food security initiatives. Can the Minister explain this initiative to the House. 167/2018 Hon. Prof. Biman Prasad to ask the Attorney-General and Minister for Economy, Public Enterprises, Civil Service and Communications – Would the Minister inform Parliament of the timeline of the enforcement of the review of the National Minimum Wage of $2.68 an hour as revealed in Parliament on 14 March 2018. 168/2018 Hon. Alivereti Nabulivou to ask the Minister for Youth and Sports – Can the Minister update the House on how many youths from Fiji participated at the recent Commonwealth Youth Forum, the assistance provided and how were they selected. 169/2018 Hon. Aseri Radrodro to ask the Attorney-General and Minister for Economy, Public Enterprises, Civil Service and Communications – Can the Minister advise the House the basis of Share offering in Energy Fiji Limited (formerly FEA) whereby Non-Subsidised Account Holders are offered 150 non-voting shares and Subsidised Account Holders are offered 250 non-voting shares.

Jilila Kumar to ask the Minister for Local Government, Housing, Environment, Infrastructure and Transport – Can the Minister inform the House on how the Ministry is addressing road fatalities. 171/2018 Hon. Mikaele Leawere to ask the Minister for Defence and National Security – A recruitment drive by the Fiji Police Force on 30 April 2018 attracted a large number of people for the interview but many were turned away as they did not possess a driving license. Can the Minister inform the House as to why a driving license is a requisite for Police selection. 172/2018 Hon. Ruveni Nadalo to ask the Minister for Local Government, Housing, Environment, Infrastructure and Transport – Can the Minister brief the House on rehabilitation programmes undertaken by the Ministry along the Sigatoka River banks. 173/2018 Hon. Ro Teimumu Kepa to ask the Attorney-General and Minister for Economy, Public Enterprises, Civil Service and Communications – Can the Minister inform the House what other action has the Government carried out to minimise the negative environmental implications on marine resources caused by deliberate pumping of oil into the Suva Harbour by Shio Dao.

Ro Teimumu Kepa to ask the Attorney-General and Minister for Economy, Public Enterprises, Civil Service and Communications – Can the Minister update the House on the progress of each aspect of the educational reform and what concerns and remedial actions were raised by the stakeholders and taken by the Government. 175/2018 Hon. Ro Teimumu Kepa to ask the Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Lands and Mineral Resources – Can the Minister inform the House of the following – (a) how much has the Government paid out to the International Golf Tournament to date; (b) how much more has the Government committed to the event; (c) what tangible benefits have been received from this investment so far; and (d) have the organisers accounted for all the funds received to date. If not why not and when will the Minister give a full accounting of these funds to Parliament. 176/2018 Hon. Ratu Tevita Niumataiwalu to ask the Minister for Local Government, Housing, Environment, Infrastructure and Transport – Can the Minister inform the House whether all projects under Tropical Cyclone Winston Rehabilitation of Roads, Bridges and Jetties amounting to $13,850,000 have been completed.
