Mother’s Day
Tomasi Boginiso, Nasinu
A very special day in our calendar. From when we were young to this day there seems to always be a celebration of mainly our mothers' loving care in raising us to what we are today.
Some might be unfortunate to mark this day without their mum, who may have passed away, away on a mission or maybe at work.
But wherever they may be I believe their hearts are with everyone at home celebrating the occasion.
For the Methodist Church around Fiji today marks the day God sent beings to perform their utmost best in making everybody happy.
There might be some other ways of celebrating Mother's Day, but it's all for one main purpose which is to thank our mums for all that they have done for us. There are certain families that might not have fathers and it's the mothers who are the main source of income for the family. We pray for you and you will not be forgotten.
There are broken families by separation. Wouldn't this Mother's Day be a great day to reunite?
Another person we should not forget is our grandmother. In some families she is the mother.
Some parents have left their children with their grandmother to bring them up.
Let's include these special people in our prayers also.
Wishing all mothers and grandmothers all over Fiji and abroad a very happy Mother's Day.
