Dave Hits 2 For Suva

Suva defeated Tavua 3-2 in the Vodafone Premier League match at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori yesterday. Sahil Dave was spot on for the capital side scoring twice.

What happened:

Suva’s Sahil Dave broke the deadlock in the 21st minute scoring the first goal from a penalty kick. The second goal came from a corner kick by Bruce Hughes was headed in by Tevita Waranivalu.

Halftime: 2-0

Both teams failed to score 30 minutes into the second half. Vilive Naulalevu of Tavua scored their first goal in the 78th minute before Ratu Dau scored the equaliser in the 85th minute.

Indiscipli­ne let Tavua down resulting in a penalty scored by Dave in the 87th minute.

Big Play:

The two penalty kicks by Dave.

Star Turn:

Tavua goalkeeper Jovilis Borisi was injured in the first half but came back in the second half to help his team.

Comments:

Suva Coach Tika Tisam said; “It is good to get the three points and the boys did well. Tavua came out really firing in the last 10 minutes. We will focus on the Fiji FACT and we are looking to keep the momentum.”

Tavua Coach Saroj Kumar said; “We knew Suva will be tough but the boys played well.”
