Priyanka Chopra Changes Into The Dreamiest Gown For Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Reception
Priyanka Chopra knows how to hit it out of the park – every single time.
So, if at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding she wore a neutral Vivienne Westwood skirt dress with a fascinator – fitted hat – that reminded you of spring, at the select wedding reception at Frogmore House where only 200 people were invited, she chose an embellished gown that made her look a vision.
The 35-year-old actor wore the offthe-shoulder Christian Dior gown and posed against the Windsor Castle’s perfect backdrop. Chopra’s stylist, Mimi Cuttrell, took to Instagram to share several photos of the actress in her look for the reception.
Not just Priyanka, the bride also changed out of her Givenchy gown from the wedding and sported a second wedding dress by Stella McCartney for the reception.
As a way of thank you to the Suits star and her royal husband, Priyanka also wrote a heartfelt note on Instagram.
Priyanka also took to social media on Saturday night to share few photographs of the couple. She wrote: “Every once in a while there is a moment when time stands still. That happened today. You my friend were the epitome of grace, love and beauty. Every choice made at this wedding by you both will go down in history, not just because it was your wedding but because this incredible wedding stood for change and hope.”
“Thank you for being the perfect picture of all things good. Seeing your union and love blessed in front of my eyes made me so happy and tear up! I wish you both love happiness and togetherness always,” she said.
Priyanka rubbed shoulders with high-profile guests including Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney, David and Victoria Beckham, Idris Elba, Elton John, Tom Hardy, James Corden, James Blunt and Carey Mulligan at the royal wedding. Tennis star Serena Williams and rugby star Jonny Wilkinson were also present.
The union of Harry, 33, a former royal wild child and sixth-in-line to the British throne, and 36-year-old Meghan, a divorcee whose mother is African-American and father is white, was like no other the royal family has seen before. Priyanka and Meghan first met in January 2016 at Elle’s 6th Annual Women in TV Celebration. They met at the party which was also attended by Viola Davis, Olivia Wilde and more. The two hit it off instantly.
“We bonded as actors. We just became friends, like two girls would,” Priyanka told People magazine in 2017.
Meghan then interviewed Priyanka for her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig. Soon, they became good friends and started hanging out regularly. They watched Hamilton together, enjoyed drinks by swimming pools in Malibu and clicked a lot of selfies.
