- WAISEA NASOKIA Edited by Anasilini Ratuva

Toulon pair Josua Tuisova and Semi Radradra’s availabilities for London and Paris 7s is still unclear.

The London 7s kicks off on June 2-3 and Paris 7s on June 8-10.

Fiji Airways Fijian 7s head coach Gareth Baber confirmed last night following their final training session.

The Toulon pair will feature for the Barbarian as they take on England at Twickenham on Sunday.

The duo is among the four Toulon utilities that have been an instant hit at the Stade Mayol this season.

According to Baber talks is underway with the release of Tuisova and Radradra to add boost to the side in the remaining leg of the World Rugby Sevens Series.

Baber said; “I cannot confirm at the moment if Tuisova or Radradra will join the team in London. I have spoken to them as they will be both playing this weekend for the Barbarians. You have to wait until the media release.”

Katonibau out

Isake Katonibau has been dropped from the squad due to fitness level.

Baber said; “He has some personal issues; he has more conditioning work level to do. He has very much in his leadership qualities. Coming back to camp with him when we return from France and it will be important for him for the World Cup. It’s up to him to build that fitness level we need and he needs to do that.”

Mocenacagi returns

Yamacia flyer Sevuloni Mocenacagi has made a return for the side after missing out on a serious injury.

“We got players back from more injuries they were in. we have Sevuloni where we need him, popped his rib cartilage. Is a painful injury and you cannot do much but just leave it to settle.

“He has done all the conditioning. He was in good spot today and that is nice quiet as in other days.”

Aim to win

Baber reiterated that the team is looking ready to take on London and Paris as to try to win the Series. Sledgehammer Eroni Sau and Samisoni Viriviri are in Vanuatu to sort out their visa and will join the team too.

“Jerry Tuwai has final issues with family. Eroni Sau and Samisoni Viriviri were in Vanuatu, they were picking up their visas and it has always been the case to get visa to travel to France.”

The Fiji Airways 7s team had a scrimmaging sessions with Yamacia and IFIRA Blackbird rugby club (Vanuatu) at the Prince Charles Park in Nadi yesterday.
