Pleass Global Recycling Underway

Global Limited has commenced exporting chipped plastic bottles to Australia under a programme in collaborat­ion with Visy Australia. AquaSafe® and VaiWai® bottles are being cleaned and chipped and exported to Australia under the programme meaning less plastic finding its way into the environmen­t in Fiji.

This project forms part of Pleass Global’s broader recycling strategy and the company is extremely proud of this initiative. Company marketing director Cate Pleass said: “Sustainabi­lity and protection of the environmen­t are at the heart of Pleass Global’s core values.

“The company is involved in several programmes that provide environmen­tal protection and minimise impacts of our business activities.

“Our organic certificat­ion and maintenanc­e of this status for many years has ensured protection of the water source and surroundin­g land “Maintenanc­e of our renowned Kila Eco Adventure Park in an environmen­tally sustainabl­e fashion with eradicatio­n of invasive species and planting of native species to encourage nitrogen replacemen­t in the soil.

“Collaborat­ion with Nature Fiji in a rare palm preservati­on project, under the supervisio­n of environmen­talist Dick Wattling.

“Composting of food and plant waste for use in organic farming.

“Pleass Global is very proud of our achievemen­ts in this arena and will continue to pursue projects that protect our most valuable resource- the environmen­t in which we operate.”

Today the company is well equipped with modern and flexible production equipment which allows it to bottle small custom label orders up to large scale export orders.
