Judicial Department Staff and Families Clean Golden Age Home, Donate Gifts
Workers from the Judicial Department in the Western Division have sacrificed their time and energy to take part in a worthy cause. Along with their families the Lautoka Court House staff members donated gifts and cleaned the Golden Age Home compound at Natabua yesterday.
Deputy Registrar (West), Jeremaia Kotovulalima said the Judicial Department (Western Division) had dedicated the month of May and June to carry out our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
He said the department had developed a CSR policy which was a voluntary commitment to ensure that workers behaved ethically and contributes to economic development.
“This will improve the quality of life of each employee, local communities and society as whole,” Mr Kotovulalima said.
“Our officers sacrificed their house chores on a Saturday for this worthy cause.
“This initiative by the Judicial Department Lautoka staff is a humanitarian assistance to those at the Golden Age Home by clothing them, visiting them, and cleaning their environment.
“We are not resting on our laurels because we will want to visit the needy and the neglected within our communities.” Mr Kotovulalima added that it further enhanced the department’s core values of good governance, professionalism, excellent customer service, people capital development, safe and healthy work environment, exemplary leadership and teamwork.
He said personnel from court centres in Rakiraki, Tavua, Ba, Nadi, Lautoka, and Sigatoka had visited hospitals, Special Schools and Homes.
