Season eight could see Daenerys Targaryen and Sansa Stark go head-to-head as they both battle to save what is most important to them. The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones is still a year away but that hasn’t stopped the cast and crew from teasing fans. Sophie Turner, who stars as Sansa Stark, is the latest actor to open up about her character’s role. The star has teased that Sansa has become “strong” and has been taking note of other character’s behaviour in order to succeed. She said: “She’s used everything she’s learnt up until now to her benefit. “She endured so much hour and really was a prisoner season-by-season. “She took all of that, and now she has become stronger for it.” Sansa will no doubt be horrified to learn that Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) is not her brother, but Aegon Targaryen and has started a romance with Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). The Lady of Winterfell already disapproved of Jon bending the knee to the Mother of Dragons. So, it is likely she won’t be happy when the couple return with plans to take on the Night King (Vladimir Furdik) and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). Could Sansa take down Daenerys in order to protect her family or will she face the Khaleesi out of spite? Sophie also opened up about how Sansa’s storyline reflects the Me Too movement. She told Screen International: “It’s funny the way my storyline is kind of mirroring what’s happening in real life, in every industry right now. “It’s really interesting how all of these women who were subject to a lot of horror and oppression are taking a stand against the people who have done this to them. “I think that’s why I connected with the Me Too movement so much.
