Reddy is cleared

Nadi Congratulations to doc! Mahendra Reddy has been cleared of any perceived misconduct and allegations relevant to his court case in the Magistrates Court and then again in the appeal at the High Court.

Life goes on for this dynamic hardworking sugarcane farmer from Nawaicoba, Yako, Nadroga who is also an educational reformist. Mr Reddy is a FijiFirst Party politician and Cabinet minister but the comments he made in a Ra school last year was well within his rights as Minister for Education as tabulated by the learned High Courts of Fiji Justice Perera in his judgement.

But I personally feel that he be given back his Minister for Education portfolio in addition to the Waterways Ministry which he is working so hard in its set up for the first time in our country's history.

Sitting on the balcony of my farmhouse on a sunny Saturday and looking down to his cane farm which is a five-minute walk from my land at Yako it is always great to see Mr Reddy also sweating it out with his pair of Bullocks on his farm in the weekends. Good luck on your cane tonnage this year!

His aging mother will be a very relieved woman by now and very supportive. His family can all now have a good night's sleep and concentrate on the more important things in life.
