The semifinals of the 2018 Skipper Cup Premiership will be held next week. And it should be a torrid affair as the top four teams in the country battle for the title and the $30,000 first prizemoney.

Suva, Nadroga, Naitasiri and Namosi survived after the seventh round was completed yesterday. Defending champions Nadroga aim to keep the title for another year after defeating Rewa 38-31 at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori yesterday.

“It’s our title to keep but we need to work extra hard in the next few days,”manager Pita Kadralevu said.

“We are in the business end of the competition and we need to be spot on in the next two games.” Defending HFC Farebrother Challenge Series champions Namosi made easy work of Navosa at Thomson Park, Navua winning 4213 yesterday.

“Job done, we’re in the top four but still more work to do,”Namosi coach Akuila Nasi said.

“We don’t know who we are facing but we need to be sharper in our executions.”

But the team to beat is pack leader Suva who will host one of the semifinals at the ANZ Stadium.

The Jope Tuikabe-coached capital city men set the pace from the start and only lost one game out of seven. Either Naitasiri or Nadroga will host the second semifinal. Under-20
