The Fiji Ship Owners and Agents Association will be hosting their Charity Golf tournament at the Fiji Golf Club in Vatuwaqa, Suva, on Friday, July 13.

The charity tournament contributes to the welfare of sick children and it is donated to the Fiji Children’s Overseas Treatment Trust Fund.

Event assistant organiser Jane Koi said, the tournament would be a big help to many sick children and their families in terms of getting access to health care.

Last year a total of $30,000 was raised during the tournament and the funds benefitted the Trust Funds and also the Colonial War Memorial Hospital children’s ward.

“This charity drive has benefited sick children from all over Fiji through the years,” she said. “As part of our corporate and social responsibility we aim to create an impact by delivering economic, social and health care benefits to our children. “Everyone will be experiencing a fun-filled day of coming together to raise funds for a worthy cause that will benefit the children’s health care.”

The Association is calling on golfers from around the country and various corporate organisations to support this worthy cause.

Player registration is $35 per person with attractive prizes up for grab. The event starts at 11.30am.
