This was after Northland won the Vodafone Vanua Challenge when they edged out Tailevu 8-6 in the final at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori last night.

“There are some areas that we’ll look into before we move on to the Bainimarama challenge,” he told SUNsports.

In the 20th minute Tailevu increased their tally when fullback Jese Tububnaruarua kicked over a penalty. Halftime: Tailevu 6-3 Northland Both side gave their all in the second spell as they wanted to end the season on a high note. Tailevu dominated play while Northland defended well.

In the 75th minute Northland took the lead when burly hooker Dan Ligairi bulldozed his way over for a try while the conversion went wide. Fulltime: Northland 8-6 Tailevu Comments: Tailevu coach Levani
