Bainimarama, Farebrother Challenge Launch

The 2018 HFC Bank Farebrother Trophy and Voreqe Bainimarama Shield challenge was launched at Albert Park in Suva yesterday
In the first challenge, trophy holders Namosi take on Suva at Thomson Park, Navua on Saturday.
The first HFC Bank Bainimarama Shield challenge will be between Northland and Yasawa and will be played at Ratu Cakobau Park tomorrow at 5pm
Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor acknowledged HFC Bank for their continuous support towards the development of rugby at the grassroots. “The support from HFC Bank surely compliments their position of being Fiji’s only local bank,” O’Connor said “Their vision of being Fiji bank of choice by serving our people with innovative financial solution and beyond.
“We trust that your investment and this platform will continue to put you into the minds of our people and we look forward to working with you in the coming week.” HFC Bank board director Alipate Naiorosui was grateful for the opportunity to sponsor the two challenges. “I am proud to announce that this year also marks the 77th year of the Farebrother Challenge,”Naiorosui said.
“The challenge this year will be contested by Fiji’s top four rugby unions and the holder of the Bainimarama Shield.
Meanwhile, HFC has given $1,000 for each team that will be playing in the Bainimarama Shield together with their sporting kit and $2,000 for the team that will be competing for the Fare Brother Challenge together with their sporting kit.
