Western giants made a flying start at

Churchill Park, Lautoka yesterday.

Nadi thumped Dreketi 4-0, Lautoka edged Tavua 1-0 and Ba beat Labasa 2-0. Ba outclassed Labasa in the last game with Manasa Nawakula scoring in the 10th minute.

Labasa tried its best to equalize however was unsuccessful.

Ba featured players such as Abbu Zahid, Malakai Tiwa, Avinesh Swamy and Meli Codro.

Saula Waqa scored Ba’s second goal to lead 2-0 at halftime.

Labasa tried its best to comeback but could not.

Heartbreaking for the Labasa fans in the first half of the match.

Big Play: Malakai Tiwa played an outstanding game. Comments: Labasa coach Anand Sami; “I’m happy that my players played welll.” Ba team manager Arvind Singh said,

“We could have scored more.Our next game will be tough but we will play it tough.”
