SUPPORT FOR PUBLIC SERVANTS

The knifepoint attack on a doctor at Nasau Health Centre in Ra has attracted overwhelming condemnation from doctors, nurses and other civil servants on social media.

A past victim wrote: “As someone that has gone thru the same ordeal, it’s very scary and demeaning experience. Because you’re alone at a centre and you’re expected to serve. But you get treated like this. I am glad this type of article has come out and that the public are aware that we are civil servants and are here to serve the public but we are also human beings….”
