At the GPH and at the Pacific Leaders Talanoa Dialogue on Thursday afternoon Mr Bainimarama said they had not just been celebrating their partnership.

“We have been finding and institutionalising ways to better co-ordinate and co-operate in our efforts,” he said.

Mr Bainimarama said at the CAPP meeting the leaders explored various opportunities and challenges in relation to the actions they needed to take and the investments they needed to make in order to reach net-zero emissions as soon as possible, to protect our oceans and strengthen the resilience of Pacific countries.

After the closing ceremony all the participants witnessed the military retreat performed by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces at the Albert Park, Suva where the flags of all the participating countries were lowered.
