The Radisson Blu Resort Fiji is supporting the Shave or Save ( SOS) campaign this year to help raise funds for the WOWS Kids Organisation.

Not only is the hotel raising funds towards the campaign focused on helping the children and their families cope during and after their cancer journey, it will also highlight child cancer issues in Nadi. Radisson Blu Resort Fiji manager Julien Racine said: “We are happy to be part of the Shave or Save campaign and will utilise this platform and experience to support the WOW Kids Organisation.

“And we will expand the horizon on cancer awareness and reach out to our business partners and guests to support the campaign.”

The SOS event will be held in the presence of guests at the hotel on August 11, with hotel employee Bharti Singh as the entrant for the cause.

Ms Singh has accepted the challenge to shave her hair as part of the challenge.

She will also raise $1000 for the WOW Kids Organisation with the support of her work colleagues. “Having my hair shaven has been something I wanted to explore, but somehow it always got postponed for another year,” Ms Singh said. “So when I was challenged for WOWS Shave it or Save it campaign, it felt right.

“What has initially started as a bucket list tick off, has indeed given me purpose. A snow ball has evolved into an avalanche of cause. “Tae Kami’s journey is truly inspiring and I feel honoured to be part of the SOS campaign. There are so many people fighting their battle with cancer and I applaud them for their strength.” Meanwhile, business partners to the hotel, Evolution Fiji, Rosie Holidays and South Sea Cruises were quick to show their support and donate prizes for the hotel fundraising, including Totoka Hair and Makeup Fiji, who will be at the hotel to conduct the hair shaving event.
