SOCIAL MEDIA IDIOTS

Not just people at home were sharing their shock and horror over social media no-shame idiots. That’s the idiots posting graphic images from yesterday’s road tragedy at Nabou.

Fijians abroad were among the angry. BTL even received an irate phone call from a BTL follower in Malaysia.

Main message: Those responsible were mischievous and had no respect for the victims and their relatives. True words.

CHIEFS RAISE CONCERN

Crackdown coming in the fishing waters off Ra.

Chiefs in the Nakorotubu district have raised their concern on illegal fishing in Vatu-i-ra.

Vatu-i-Ra Island is traditionally owned by the Nagilogilo clan, while the surrounding waters fall within the qoliqoli Cokovata Nakorotubu.

The owners are living on the spillover” fish from the park.

BTL has been reliably informed that the fish wardens have been urged to step up their policing and report those involved to Police.

MINI-VAN NOT OURS: SUVA

The Suva Mini Van Association has quickly denied claims that the minivan involved in yesterday’s fatal accident was registered with it.

They want investigators to trace the owner of the van.

CHECK EXPIRY DATE

Warning from writer Jaineel Anish: Check the expiry date on medicine you get at a pharmacy. He checked on two bottles he got. One was good. But the other one was past its time. Thanks, Jaineel.

THINGS WE LIKE

Ginger Cafe on the balcony at the Fiji Museum in Suva. Hooked and Cooked, the classy new fish and chips place in Lautoka.

THINGS WE DON’T LIKE

Danger at the traffic lights with too many drivers charging through after the lights have changed to don’t go. Question rightly asked by Commissioner Qiliho: where are the officers on those shiny new motorbikes?
