ATH ANNOUNCES DATES FOR AGM
Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Limited will hold its shareholders’ 20th annual general meeting (AGM) on August 23, 2018 at Suva’s Holiday Inn. The meeting will see the company’s executives adopt the financial statements for the year ending March 31, 2018.
It comes on the back off an announced consolidated profit after tax of $96.6 million, one of the group’s best performance yet.
The meeting will also give the company a chance to elect its new directors. Umarji Musa, one of ATH’s current directors, has offered himself for reelection. The remuneration of directors will also be on the agenda.
The ATH board is recommending that shareholders approved a fixed sum of $90,000 as directors’ fees for the year ending March 31, 2019. Dividend payouts will be declared during the meeting, according the an announcement made on the South Pacific Stock Exchange website. The board is recommending that a final dividend of $0.02 per share or $8,442,097.36 be declared.
The company says that This brings the total dividends already been paid declared to $0.045 per share or $18,442,719.06 for the year ended March 31, 2018.
The meeting will also be used to appoint auditors “to hold office from the conclusion of this meeting until the conclusion of the next AGM.”
