Ratu Kadavulevu School rugby teams have yet again dominated the Powerade Super Deans Championship after five teams qualified for this Saturday’s finals.

RKS vice-principal Walesi Soqoiwasa said this is made possible through the support of the old scholars, teachers and parents. “I would like to acknowledge the Almighty God who have allowed our five teams to get through to the finals,” he said.

“The coaches and team management have worked throughout the past weeks with the help from the old boys association and the entire school.”

RKS U18 team manager Osea Uluiviti said people are labelling the squad as the defending champions, which is not.

Uluiviti added they are a new team and they would try their best to retain the championship. “We are not the defending champions, the defending champions are in the under-19 grade now and we are still working to ensure that we retain the title.

“We will maintain the same preparation as we gear up to play Cuvu College who is one of the best teams in the final.” The RKS Under-17 side failed to make the final after they were beaten by Marist Brothers High School in the quarterfinals.

The finals will be played at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on Saturday.
