Two Staff Join South Sea Cruises’ NZ Team
South Sea Cruises announced the appointment of Hannah Jones as Business Development Executive – New Zealand to its Auckland-based team. Hannah has a strong background in customer-focused roles and joins South Sea Cruises from Flight Centre where she has been a travel consultant since 2016.
This role has honed her sales skills, both consumer-facing and trade, and she is highly regarded amongst her peers in the industry. South Sea Cruises’ Director of Sales and Marketing Wayne Deed said: “We’re really excited to have Hannah joining the team and look forward to having her meet our key trade partners in the market.” Outside work hours, Hannah’s interests are also well-suited to the South Sea Cruises portfolio which includes South Sea Cruises, Yasawa Islands Holidays, Malamala Beach Club, Blue Lagoon Cruises and Awesome Adventures.
She enjoys kayaking, swimming and snorkelling and travel, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Hannah begins her new role on August 27 with the Tourism Fiji Roadshow throughout New Zealand.
Meanwhile, Shandelle Battersby has been appointed to the newly created role of marketing and communications executive at South Sea Cruises based in the Auckland office.
Ms Battersby is an experienced travel writer, editor and marketing professional, spending considerable time at NZME in various roles including lifestyle and commercial editor, digital content producer Viva and deputy Tuesday travel editor.
She will utilise her skill sets, expertise and contacts to help lift the profile of South Sea Cruises’ portfolio of products.
Ms Battersby has resumed with South Sea Cruises on July 30, 2018.
