The Sunday School Choir from Nakavu Village in the Namosi Division participated for the first time at the annual Methodist Church of Fiji Festival of Praise.

The students, who hope to learn as much as they can, were sensational as they sang in front of a big crowd at the Furnival Park in Toorak, Suva yesterday.

Nakavu Sunday School teacher Sainimili Romala said the children were excited.

“The students were really looking forward to participate in the conference, especially since this is their first time,” Ms Romala said. “We sang the hymn ‘Hallelujah Lamp of God’ during the festival of praise.”

She said the children had been preparing for two months and were confident.

“The idea to participate at the annual event came up during the Namosi Circuit annual meeting and I am glad we did,” Ms Romala said. “This is an exposure for the students and they are really excited to be here today. Hopefully the experience has boosted their confidence in praising God.”

The choir festival will end on Friday.
