Toberua Island Resort for Sale
One of Fiji’ spioneering island, tourist destinations, Toberua Island Resort is on sale for FJ$12.95 million. My Island Home Real Estate, which is selling the island on behalf of its owners posted the sale on its Facebook page. Toberua is a 16 bure boutique resort on five acres of freehold land located just off the eastern side of the main island of Viti Levu – about a 45 minutes travel by taxi and boat from Suva’s Nausori Airport.
The real estate agent’s post reports everything about this resort was immaculate. It says the current owners had upgraded all the infrastructure – water, power, sewage, communications, office systems and transport - all the guest bures, all the support facilities – restaurant, bar, spa, gym, boutique dive shop and wharf.
The new owners will only have to worry about regular annual maintenance because it’s currently run under management.
Good occupancy
Toberua Island Resort enjoys good occupancy and is profitable and the guest experience as judged by Trip Advisor shows 88 per cent judge it as excellent.
There is room to increase occupancy and therefore the profitability and there is space to add more bures within the capacity of the existing infrastructure – over-water bures perhaps?
The current owners have had 10 happy and successful years at the resort and feel it is time to move on to new challenges. Toberua Island Resort stands on its own feet or could benefit as being part of a larger operation with merged management, marketing and reservations systems making real cost savings.
The new owners will only have to worry about regular annual maintenance because it’s currently run under management.
