CPA President Sen Labels Annual Event a Success
The Fijian event was part of a series of congresses being organised by CPA Australia teams across a number of regions in the Asia-Pacific.
The Certified Practising Accountants Australia-Fiji Branch has grown significantly over the past 10 years. CPA Fiji president Uday Sen, speaking after the success of last week’s congress, said: “From humble beginnings in Fiji, we now have, just under 500 members here. “Our Fiji members are part of a global brand, which has over 165,000 members, operating in more than 125 countries around the globe.
“CPA Fiji Branch has been working with a number of different stakeholders over the last few years and is now well embedded in the Fijian economy.”
It was a successful wrap up to the Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia-Fiji Branch 2018 congress at Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa, Yanuca Island. Delegates that attended the congress were leading accounting, finance, management and business professionals.
The theme was connecting the biggest minds.

The congress had an interesting lineup of speakers.
The Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum spoke about the economy and digitalisation.
Topics covered were management, leadership, innovation, motivation, entrepreneurship, visual finance, and the United Nations Electronic Convention on Communication. President Sen said the CPA platform provided the members the opportunity to network and connect with some of the best minds.

The annual congress which began on Thursday ended on Friday.
