Police quiz man over REMAINS FIND

Aman of Malamala outside Nadi is being questioned by Police in connection with the disappeara­nce of his wife early this month.

This is after what is believed to be 25-year-old Sonika Singh’s remains were found yesterday.

The mother-of-two was an employee of Infashion Store in Nadi town.

According to the Police, her disappeara­nce reported on September 12 by her father.

Police confirmed the finding last night, but details remained sketchy.

Sonika Singh’s brother, Sonal, who is a Police officer, confirmed that his sister remained missing since that day.

He declined to comment further, but said the family was awaiting the finding of the Police investigat­ion, which was still underway.

In a separate incident yesterday, a 35-year-old man of Meigunyah, Nadi, is fighting for his life at the Lautoka Hospital after he suffered multiple stab wounds at Nawaicoba. According to Police the victim was driving a private vehicle which was hired by two men.

When they reach a secluded area the two allegedly stabbed the driver and threw him to the ground. The two suspects fled the scene leaving behind the hybrid vehicle.
