Former Nadi International Airport staff are coming together this weekend to reconnect with friends and former co-workers at the Nadi Airport Reunion.

Event co-ordinator Bobby Tikaram said the Association of Ex-Civil Aviation Staff (ACAS) committee organised the Nadi Airport Reunion under the chairmanship of Narendra Reddy.

Mr Tikaram said this was billed to be “the biggest reunion” for former staff of the Fijian aviation industry, connecting generations of people including those who may have migrated overseas.

“The objective was to bring together at Nadi Airport all present and former members working or have worked at the airport and their families in a social atmosphere so as to rekindle friendships, reminisce about the good old days and make new friends.” Although ACAS organised the event, it is open to all present and former workers at the airport, such as staff members of the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service, and Air Terminal Services etc.

“We just cannot wait to meet up as this will be an important event for us since the last such meeting was held in 2011 and was extremely successful,” Mr Tikaram said. Meanwhile, copies of souvenir magazines and souvenir tee-shirts and caps will be available. October 5 – Welcome Cocktail function at the Sitar Restaurant in Nadi.

October 6 – Main Gala Dinner at the Hai Yang restaurant in Nadi. October 7 – Beachside family picnic lunch at the Nadi Airport Golf Club.
