Chiefs, Jets In Nadi Final
The Jolame Luvevou captained- Koroba Chiefs will take on Bonunaqele Jets in the grand final of the Jack’s Nadi Rugby Union franchise competition this Saturday.
In the semi-finals, Chiefs beat Coastal Herons 29-12 and scoring five tries to two at Prince Charles Park, Nadi last Saturday.
Chiefs started strongly as they led 24-0 at halftime while Herons centre Jovesa Naivalu put on a man of the match performance. Chiefs assistant coach Male Ranawai said the game was a tough one as the Coastal Herons put on gutsy performance in the second half.
“They tried but it was too late,” he said. “The Chiefs put on a grand display of rugby. “We’re thankful to the Nadi Rugby Union and sponsors Jack’s of Fiji for putting on the franchise competition.”
