Fury: No sex for 3 months
Boxing update
Los Angeles: It must be a seriously big fight because Tyson Fury has abstained from sex for three months prior to his world heavyweight championship battle with Deontay Wilder.
Fury has come down to Los Angeles from his altitude training at Big Bear mountain but is still eschew the temptations of the city life.
The health reasons for which have nothing to do with his communion with his lovely wife Paris, the mother of his two children.
‘It is rare that you have two giants of 6ft 9in in my case and Wilder at 6ft 7in getting ready to punch each other in the face,’ said Fury. ‘At some point we are going to hit each other but I am blessed with this sixth sense for seeing danger coming.
‘I don’t want anything to interfere with that between men with our power there is always the danger of brain damage.”
Fury has dealt with psychological demons in overcoming the chronic depression which lead to drug abuse. He credits ‘the therapeutic benefits of training’.
He said: ‘I have defied the odds just being here. So I have no interest in the bookies quoting the odds against me.’
And he sees the only sin pertaining to the fight for Wilder’s WBC world championship and his lineal title on December 1 to be if him and Wilder, but also Anthony Joshua, don’t all fight each other.
