It’s back! GPH Traditional Christmas Appeal
In keeping with the true spirit of Christmas, Grand Pacific Hotel is committed to helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
This year GPH have again pledged assistance to St Christopher’s Home, one of Fiji’s most respected Orphanages in Nakasi, Suva.
The centre piece of its activities is GPH’s magnificent, twenty-twofoot Christmas Tree in the Heritage Lobby.
What to expect:
Festivities begin on Friday 23rd November with a special return to the bygone days of elegance where you can relive the recent Royal experience with mouthwatering canapes and cocktails, backed by a wonderful programme of traditional choral arrangements performed by the Fiji Arts Club Choir and the children of St Christopher’s.
At dusk the blessing and lighting ceremony of the tree will be conducted by the Vicar General of the Anglican Church, Father Orisi Vuki. Carols will continue until 8.00pm, after which “The Gang” will perform into the evening in Levuka Terrace.
Tickets are $95 per person, with $10 from every ticket purchased donated to St Christopher’s. Dress code is Smart Elegant, and bookings are essential (Phone 922 6015).
A special accommodation package is also available for all attending guests who would like to stay the night.
In the days following this in the lead up to Christmas Day, GPHhave organised a number of local Church choirs to perform carols beneath the tree every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon (5.00pm to 5.45pm).
They invite you and your loved ones to join them to enjoy the music and the atmosphere and ask that in return you leave a gift beneath the tree, noting the age and gender of the child that it is most suitable for.
They will arrange that these be delivered to the children of St Christopher’s on Christmas Eve. Grand Pacific Hotel thanks you for your support and looks forward to welcoming you.
