Congratulations, Fiji Airports.

You are an example to businesses out there who are planning or may have thought about entering the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards next year. Fiji Airports walked away with the BlueScope Fiji Excellence in Service Award during the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards ceremony at the Sofitel Resort and Spa, Nadi on Saturday.

The awards was organised by Investment Fiji.

It recognises businesses that constantly strive to exceed customer expectations, industry leading standards of service and innovation around customer service.

Communications and Public Relations Officer Christopher Chand said: “This is the first time the we participated in the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards. “For us to win the excellence in service award in the first year of our participation is a humbling and rewarding experience.

“We would like to dedicate this excellence service award to our executive chairman Faiz Khan whose visionary leadership has allowed Fiji Airports to grow in leaps and bounds over the last few years.

“We would also like to dedicate the win to the rest of the board and management and staff of Fiji Airports.

“As you know Nadi International Airport is the first and last impression of Fiji and for us winning this awards means for us to maintain service standards at the airport. “Also to ensure that our passengers that come through Nadi International Airport are getting enhanced passenger experience.” “So for the last couple of years we have been busy with the biggest project we have undertaken in recent history which is the Nadi International Airport terminal modernisation project which was officially opened in June. “For us that was a huge accomplishment and Fiji now has a transformed Nadi International Airport.”

He said their next big project is the Nausori Airport runway upgrade.

“Nausori is our next focus, but we are also focusing on the outer island stations for the next seven years. “At Nadi International Airport we have a lot of stakeholders so the service standards is a collaboration between different organisations that operate at the airport and this is the reward for the excellence service standard at the airport.”
