Locals, families and tourists will enjoy a great summer jetting across the Central Pacific thanks to Nauru Airlines adding extra services for the peak season.

As the Central Pacific readies itself for more tourists and inter-island travel, Nauru Airlines has found an easy solution for those wishing to travel throughout the region for shopping, visiting relatives and friends, study and holidaying.

Nauru Airlines Chief Executive Officer Peter Sheehan said that the airline was excited to begin new services between Fiji, Nauru and the nations of Kiribati and Republic of Marshall Islands.

“We want to expand our Central Pacific services to everyone and provide accessibility, affordability and excellent service on all our routes,” Mr Sheehan said.

“Our team has been working hard to include the additional routes in time for the typically busy summer season. We have a two-stage process for creating our new mid-week Fiji and Island Hopper services.”

The first stage of the new services will be connecting Nauru and Fiji on Wednesday mornings with a same day return.

This initial promotion will run for four weeks, commencing December 19, 2018, in time for the busy Christmas and New Year period.

Stage 2 and the introduction of mid-week Island Hopper services will commence from Tuesday January 15, 2019.

The service will depart Nadi, Fiji and follow the Nauru Airlines’ signature ‘Island Hopper’ route to Majuro.

“The additional mid-week ‘Island Hopper’ service will provide both locals and tourists with the flexibility to explore more destinations in the Central and South Pacific,” Mr Sheehan said.

“Our staff are looking forward to welcoming pssengers to the unique ports we service as an airline. More frequent services to our Central Pacific destinations allow us to forge better bonds with our closest neighbours, and will give Nauruan’s the opportunity to travel and work throughout the region.”
