Fiji Airways Fijian 7s head coach Gareth Baber has reminded the players on their conduct during the festive season.

The squad returned to camp yesterday as they prepare for the third tournament of the World Rugby Sevens Series in Hamilton on January 26-27.

Baber is now aware of the recent case involving forward Mesulame Kunavula who was caught driving without a licence on the Queens Road last Sunday.

“Yes, I have talked to Mesulame,” he said.

“I always remind these players they are professional rugby players and this is the job that they do. “They have a responsibility in their society and what they represent. They have to make sure that they stay disciplined,” Baber said.

He also reminded the players they will need to win the 2018/2019 Sevens Series.

“We are looking for gold finish so if their discipline drops then they will settle for silver or bronze medal.”

The players were also reminded to be aware of their diet during the festive season.

“They will need to look after themselves, it’s really personal development. We did some good things but there are few areas that we need to improve on as individuals,” Baber said. “They got to watch what they eat during the festive season, what they drink and how they rest.” Baber said they would be very busy in the next five months when the series resumes in New Zealand and Australia.

“We need to keep the form that enabled us to win the Cape Town 7s,” Baber added.
