Los Angeles: Rapper T-Pain has been accused of ripping off the title track from Bollywood film Aashiqui 2, Tum Hi Ho, in his new song That’s Yo Money. Many fans took to social media on Wednesday to point out the perceived similarities between the song and T’s tune, with many commenting on the video on YouTube claiming the US artist turned ‘the most romantic tune’ into a ‘stripper song’. Earlier this week claims were made by the film’s director Mohit Suri and music composer Mithoon who put together the tune, to which T-Pain responded. They took to social media last week to call into account the rapper as Mohit said: ‘Dunno why but this seems familiar #aashiqui2 #tumhiho @TPAIN.’ He tagged the video before adding:

‘It’s a melody from Mithun’s song buddy @Mithoon11 @raiisonai @itsBhushanKumar.’ Mithoon was quick to respond, as he

tweeted T and wrote: ‘Sir, the melody that you have used in your new song is my original work for a previously released Hindi film..The Label is looking into this.#tumhiho #Aashiqui2’. T-Pain tweeted in response to the

backlash he woke to: ‘Woke up to getting dragged by brown twitter. Sooooo yea. I definitely didn’t produce this song. ‘Had no idea that was a sample and have never heard the music before I got the beat from the producer. Easy thing to work out. The labels will be in contact.

Thanx.’
