Fiji is increasingly becoming the preferred holiday destination of tourists, particularly famous sports stars. All Black Ardie Savea recently married his long-term love in Nadi. Joining him in Nadi was his brother ex-All Black Julian Savea, now playing in France. The Savea couple have returned to New Zealand but BTL understands they were smitten by the excellent Fijian hospitality, glorious weather and the magical Bula smile. ON A DIFFERENT NOTE…

Another famous sports personality, a local plying his trade overseas, is here on a holiday. But he is now the talk of the town for a wrong reason. He allegedly caused some strife in his family when he went missing from his home here for two days. BTL understands that amber liquid has been blamed. He has finally returned home but was still under its strong influence.

GIVE DUNN A CHANCE

The anti-Government mob has started sniping at Anne Dunn soon after her appointment as the new Online Safety Commissioner. It’s unfair that she has been criticised even before she has settled down in her job. BTL feels she should be given a fair go. Or are her critics worried she will expose them?

‘GOSSIP HUB’

A BTL fan has dubbed the Suva Municipal Market as the ‘Gossip Hub’. He has been privy to some of the intense discussions there. All he could say is that it’s a haven for those looking for conspiracy theories and entertainment. The topics range from politics to crime and there is no shortage of bizarre stories. One thing is common, a lot of noise but no substance.
