$10m Sports Facility in Nadi
AVancouver sports consortium is planning on developing a state of the art indoor sports facility in Fiji.
Indoor Arts Incorporated (IAI) has started preliminary talks with a local landowning unit with the view of purchasing a prime location in Nadi. IAC, CEO, Jagat Singh told SUNSports that with Nadi being the international hub and a progressive town, there is a dire need for a recreational and sports facility in the area.
“Nadi’s growth is unparalleled,” Singh said.
“While such facility is available in Suva, westerners are staved off a similar facility.
“Our plan is to draw a combination of recreational and sports facilities, from gymnasiums to field/turf, aquatics facilities and a state-of-theart, multi-purpose indoor complex.”
Singh said IAC, with its Fiji partners, will spend over $10 million on the construction of the facility.
“We have respective agencies to deal, land, permits, local and Government requirements to follow before the project get ground up. “The Fiji Government has made it easy for former Fiji residents to come do business but with conditions.
“We are prepared to work with respective authorities to make our project happen.”
Singh said if everything goes according to plan the project could start to take shape in the second half of 2019.
