WHAT’S THE TIME?

Somebody has been sleeping on the job! Because if you look out the window from OPM then you might get confused about which time is the right one. One can only assume that someone did not change the time back after daylight saving ended last Sunday. Neither of the times shown was correct when BTL looked out the window.

NO REPORT ON OVERLOADING

A passenger on one of the boats coming to Suva after Tropical Cyclone Mona said it was overloaded.

We understand that some people were late to work because of the delay in shipping services due to the cyclone. Surely this is not an excuse for overloading. BTL wonders if the enforcement officers were aware of this and just let it go.

Who will be responsible if something happens to the boat and is related to overloading?

ILLEGAL FISHING INCREASING

Illegal fishing in Ucunivanua’s traditional fishing ground in Tailevu North is increasing daily. According to the village headman (turaga-ni-koro) Ratu Sevanaia Verata, the people involved were coming from all over Fiji and they just could not stop them.

The village will soon have a fibreglass outboard and this will help them police their fishing ground. However he said the illegal fishers have very powerful and fast boats. There are other means of catching them and those responsible should just stop from their illegal act.

CHANGE FOR NADI?

Nadi football fans want change in the executive for 2019. Former Nadi fans living overseas are also making the call.
