Residents brace for more rain, flooding
Somal Radhika, a resident of Waidamudamu Settlement in Koronivia, said yesterday’s flooding was the worst she had ever experienced in seven years.
Her family is now staying at their relative’s place in Nadawa. But if the current weather pattern prevails as predicted, then her family and others residing at Koronivia should be prepared for the worst. “We will go and check our house tomorrow (today),” she said. “More than 30 houses were affected, it was really bad.”
She said the flooding happened at about 3pm yesterday.
