Taxi Driver Wins $275,000 Vehicle

ASuva taxi driver was overwhelmed with joy when he received his brand new Range Rover vehicle worth $275,000 yesterday.

He won the vehicle as the major prize of the Morris Hedstrom (MH) 150 years promotion.

Menal Mishal, originally of Lautoka, was happy to see his new vehicle when he was handed the keys by MH management at the Carpenters Motors showroom in Walu Bay, Suva. Mr Mishal said it was a proud moment for him.

“I did not expect to win such a big and major prize for myself. I am really impressed because I had never dreamed to own such an expensive vehicle in my life,” he said.

“I only shop at MaxVal-U Supermarket in Flagstaff and I did not know one day I will be handed the keys to such an expensive and amazing vehicle,” Mr Mishal said. Carpenters Fiji Limited retail and marketing director Kunaseelan Sabaratnam said the 150 years anniversary promotion was one of the biggest and best promotions of MH.

He said one and half million entries were recorded.

“We thank our business associates and Vodafone for their support and our customers who participated throughout the promotion,” Mr Sabaratnam said.

Vodafone Fiji Limited sponsorship manager Adriu Vakarau congratulated MH for 150 years of existence in Fiji.

“Vodafone was privileged to be a part of the promotion to assist MH in the promotion draw to celebrate 150 years,” Mr Vakarau said.
