Westpac Fiji app offers smartphone users a variety of self-serve banking transactions, meaning they can access their personal accounts to bank whenever and wherever it suits them with an easy to use digital app format. “What I think customers will like most about our app is that it is intuitive, and of course offers the highest levels of convenience and security,” said Westpac Fiji Chief Executive, Kip Hanna. “We’ve based the design on Westpac Australia’s ‘Westpac Live’ app, which won a number of awards when it was released for its simplicity and usability.

“Our customers can use the App on their smartphones or tablets with an Android operating system of 4.4 or more; or an iOS of 10.1 or more.

“To get started they first have to register for mobile banking or contact us to register first. “Customers can visit the Google Play and Apple stores and search for Westpac Fiji to find the app.

“It is important that they don’t download the Australian version by mistake as it won’t be linked to their Fiji account.”

He said the app itself is user friendly and very simple.

“We have also developed some brochures, a lot of information on the website to help people start using the App.

“We have our call centre team ready to talk to people and give them help and advice on the sign up process and when they using the App.

“There will also be App champions like Sharon, Seraphina and Farah.

“In many of the branches across the country these App champions have been involved throughout the development processing were amongst the first members of our team to test the App, so they are very well placed to answer peoples questions and to give them some practical help.”

He said they are very proud of this product its secure with additional features to protect their customers.

“This includes a special function whereby a special code is sent to confirm a transaction if it is outside of what we know is your usual banking profile.

“It is designed to be very easy to use to suit even first time app users.”
