Aman in his 40s was arrested after Police discovered illicit drugs in his vehicle when he was stopped at the Navo Bridge in Nadi on Monday night.

This was after Police received information about the alleged transportation of illicit drugs from Suva to Nadi.

It resulted in the seizing of substances believed to be cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana from the suspect’s vehicle.

When the team of Police officers searched the suspect’s vehicle the following were said to have been found: clear plastic containing crystals believed to be methamphetamine, white plastic containing powder believed to be cocaine and bullets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana

The same team made their way to the Planet Haze Nightclub in Nadi where they were working on information gathered during the arrest regarding a suspected laboratory used for making or processing illicit substances.

This resulted in the discovery of materials and equipment that were alleged to be used to manufacture or process the illicit drugs that had been seized. The area surrounding the nightclub in Nadi has been cordoned off as the Police forensic team conduct their investigations.
