Pauline Rabitu What’s with all this violence in Fiji? Sakealevu Lai Children’s rights, No corporal punishment in schools. Back in my days we got hidings in schools. We didn’t bother if our butts turn red or bluish purple from all those hidings. We took it as a lesson to change and be a better citizen. We did right!! Divesh Prasad This is what happens when you place a law not to physically discipline and at the same time don’t have any other alternative ideas how to discipline the students. Mereoni Delana When children have access to violent movies and surrounded with stressful upbringing. Reflect back at home. Natasha Jaduram Children nowadays are influenced by social effects to become violent. Parents teach your children that aggravating a child will turn sour. However, by the way, where was the teacher? It’s at this age that year 1-5 teachers must enforce discipline in a strict manner to avoid incidents as such. Teachers should instil discipline in their class rooms so when they are absent the child follows the rule. And for the child that hurt another child. Luckily he or she weren’t my child. I have 5. Whether small or big, i do not and i repeat i do not condone violence. Amecia F Yeal Hope we get to hear more ..... was the victim being bullied ? Has the kid who attacked the victim have home troubles ? Is he acting out ? So many questions, i am sure ..... one thing i do hope is that the boy is at home, recovering.
