Business Link Pacific: Launching a New Portal to the World

Business Link Pacific (BLP) will launch its online portal on Friday, August 2.

The Portal will be launched at the University of the South Pacific Laucala Campus, Suva.

BLP is a private sector developmen­t programme funded by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT). BLP connects small and medium sized businesses in the Pacific to local advisory services. August 1 and 2, BLP will be hosting a unique and groundbrea­king four-country launch event of their online Portal across the Pacific. It features special events in Fiji, Samoa, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea for growing businesses and business advisory service providers. The launch event in each country is being coordinate­d by the BLP team based in Auckland,

New Zealand, in partnershi­p with in-country partners of each country. The Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF) and Webmedia South Pacific are co-hosts of the launch event in Fiji.

Online portal

Webmedia South Pacific stated: “The BLP Portal is an innovative online platform designed to connect quality business advisors with small and medium-sized growing businesses in the Pacific.

“The portal will allow growing businesses to do an online health check, search for and access accredited profession­al advisors and to initiate access to financial subsidies along with other insightful services for business advisory service providers.”

Business model

Webmedia said: “This is an innovative business models in the Pacific Islands. Producing a

unique recipe with culture, history, natural resources, story and customer preference­s.” Adding at the programme’s conclusion, there will be an informal networking session where business owners will meet other small and growing businesses, BLP accredited profession­al advisors and iconic national leaders.

“This free event is likely to draw a full-house and has already generated strong advanced demand

and registrati­on sign-ups. “To ensure your seat, owners of growing businesses are highly encouraged to register directly online as early as possible.” Any growing business owner who is interested can register their attendance online or get further details on the Business Link Pacific Facebook page or website.
