Big difference in political parties Priyanka Hansa Ram, Suva
Today, I witness a clear-cut demarcation where there are three political parties.
FijiFirst - there is an acceptance for fourth and fifth generation Indians who are accorded with the title of Fijians.
SODELPA - where we fall back on ethnic lines.
And NFP - a party that I contested the elections under - which is dead silent and not a single sound has been made with reference to who we are.
For great grandparents grandparents, and parents who have sacrificed to make the social, economic and educational foundation of this country - it is unfortunate to see petty politics that falls back on ethnic lines. NFP - the role of NFP remains unclear. It is left in the middle, nowhere.
A party with no clear vision is one that I refuse to support anymore.
This was a party, that only yesterday that I had risked my life for.
We are fortunate to have a leader that is accommodating to diversity which we pride ourselves with. Someone with a clear vision and a backbone.
Culturally, we see a diversity of faiths cultures and colours where the geopolitical sphere has changed with time.
The acceptance of diversity is what we are priding ourselves with today as I speak and this could not have been possible with leadership that is rock solid.
Under the present circumstances it will be a waste of time, energy and effort to affiliate with the NFP and it is rather wise to give a hand in supporting the great work that the present Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and his team are doing for the greater good and security of Fiji.
The next 25 years should have a leader that has a heart and who can lead this country as a parent, rest assured that a parent never abandons his or her children. We can see the example of this in the FijiFirst party and that best fits the present scenario. Finally, I can say Mr Bainimarama needs to be acknowledged as the founding father of modern Fiji.

Where do we really begin?
Death can deal a truly hurtful and painful blow. This is our moment to endure immense loss; intense grief and feeling of much shock and disbelief.
You were always our beacon of hope, a shining star among all men. A cut above the rest. So calm in the face of challenging times.
So full of leadership and motivational skills. Always there to listen. To guide. To mentor. To show us a better way forward. I will sorely miss your counsel. Thank you for your encouragement - keep writing.
Fiji, as a proud developing Pacific nation is so much poorer without you now.
We have shed silent tears. Words alone are totally inadequate to thank you appropriately enough for all you have proudly done as a true son of Fiji.
Much pride, tolerance, integrity, respect and dignity.
You ably led the Fijian Chinese Community with enormous “Larger than life, pride and distinction’.
True leadership, unsurpassed with enormous tact, diplomacy and respect.

Where orchids and roses never fade. It is only human to ask, “Why?” Deep down, in true faith, hope and trust. God knows best. (In His Almighty Majesty, He has changed your residential address from your Earthly home to His Kingdom). You’ve earned it. Our heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathies to every member of the Seeto and Chan families in this time of real loss and pain.
