Planned power shutdown for Nakasi, Davuilevu area

The EFL planned power shutdown is being carried out to allow the FRA to meet its timeline for the completion of the four-lane road upgrade from Nakasi to the Rewa Bridge

Fiji Roads Authority ( FRA) contractor­s will carry out trenching works near the 33,000volt Energy Fiji Limited ( EFL) power pole. This is at the junction of Davuilevu Housing in Nakasi to lay water pipes and TFL conduits.

This is scheduled to be carried out from 12 midnight tomorrow to 6am on Saturday (August 3, 2019).

Areas affected:

Part of Kings Road from Adi Lady Davila Road junction to Sasawira Road junction; Adi Lady Davila Road and all side roads; Wainibuku Road and all side roads; Nakasi Road and all side roads; Naulu Road and all side roads; Vishnu Deo Road and all side roads; Methodist Subdivisio­n; Dignified Crematoriu­m; Mataika Road; Tora Street; Tirikula Road; Vugakoto Place; Hunt Place; Bulu Place; Davies Street; Tuilovoni Road; Andrews Place; Mata Court Place; Cowley Place; Mastapha Place; Matenaniu Road; Waila 3A Subdivisio­n; Waila 3B Subdivisio­n; Davuilevu Methodist Mission School; Gagali Place; Bua Bua Place; Sasawira Road; Davuilevu Agricultur­al Subdivisio­n; Delaiviwa Settlement; LDS Naulu; Nasinu Tannery; Nasinu Abattoir; Bhawani Dayal Arya College; Naulu Subdivisio­n; Dilo Street; Willow Place; Kauvula Street, Nacua Street, Vaudamu Street, FBC Transmitte­r, and the New Nakasi Health Centre.

Depending on the weather, the trenching works is estimated to be completed in about six hours. The EFL planned power shutdown is being carried out to allow the FRA to meet its timeline for the completion of the four-lane road upgrade from Nakasi to the Rewa Bridge.
