Fiji Revenue and Customs Launches New Logo, Uniform
The Fiji Revenue and Customs (FRCS) Service yesterday launched their new logo and unform.
Chief executive officer Visvanath Das said the journey has been rewarding as a team from then, 1999 to today 2019.
He said the new logo and identity is a combination of blue patterns designs, which come together to form a modern tapa motif. It represents: team working together (many elements, partners, stakeholders, industries recognising the Fijian diversity in all aspects) and with a common goal and aspiration.
It also represents a modern and forward thinking manner.
Mr Das said to grow Fiji blue shades are synonymous to the Fiji Flag, the patriotism, the blue skies, the blue oceans and protecting Fiji’s ports of entry.
“When all these elements come together in unity, creates endless opportunities like a kaleidoscope of light,” he said.
He said 20 years on today just like how Fiji has grown and evolved into a stronger economy with unprecedented revenue growth and development.
“We went from a billion dollar tax revenue, and now we are ready for a $3 billion revenue outcome.
“Of course, the Fijian economy now stands at $11 billion as well.”
Mr Das said the launch also marks a celebration of 20 years of service to the people of Fiji raising revenues for the state for funding the public goods and services, the social welfare initiatives, the health and education initiatives to better the lives of all Fijians. “Days like today are when we draw a line in history.” He said: “We as a team and organisation affirm our commitment and resolve to continue to serve the people of Fiji to our utmost best.
“Our work impacts Fijian economic development and the better standard of living and access the ordinary Fijians derserve.”
He said this is a mark of their transformation, evolution from an authority, a straight enforcement agency to a service role partnering with every player and contributor in the Fijian economy to help Fiji grow.
With this, he said stakeholder partnership approach and the service approach – adding and creating value to their stakeholder objectives they are walking into endless opportunity for Fiji and fellow Fijians.
He said the blue skies also indicate that the skies are their limit.
“We will not settle for any less in our commitment to help Fiji grow.” He said: “Together with the new logo, I would also like to take this opportunity to highlight the significance of our new uniforms, particularly the color white which is representative of the integrity and transparency.
“No doubt FRCS must be an organisation of highest integrity and transparency which is critical for organisation credibility and our customer confidence.”
He said they are reassuring their stakeholders of their service commitment to meet their stakeholder needs and beyond and challenging the people to highest levels of professionalism, respect, fairness and service attitude and culture
