7s Star: Children Must Have A Good Breakfast Daily
Agood breakfast is the first and most important meal of the day.Fiji Airways Fiji 7s star Meli Derenalagi also said it was vital for all children to have their breakfast before leaving home for school every day.
He was officiating as chief guest during the CJ Patel Weet-Bix Promotion Programme at Narewa Village in Nadi yesterday.
“Breakfast is the main meal of the day especially for kids,” Mr Derenalagi said.
“If you don’t have your breakfast you won’t do your job well, you will become lazy, especially for sports people.”
At the event yesterday morning the staff of CJ Patel provided a healthy breakfast, which included Weet-Bix with milk and slices of banana for the school children and the villagers.
About 50 villagers and children turned up to the village hall to start off their day with a nourishing meal.
CJ Patel marketing co-ordinator Sairusi Yalayalatabua said the team was not only present to provide the villagers with a healthy breakfast, but to also remind them of the importance of having breakfast each day. “One of the products that we had brought along was Weet-Bix and the product alone has a lot of iron and a lot of vitamins that can start off our day,” he said.
“We are also here to encourage them to have breakfast every morning and Weet-Bix is the official breakfast for the 7s team and that is why we are here with Derenalagi to tell villagers that Weet-Bix helps them a lot with their training sessions.”
The CJ Patel team will be at Vitogo Village in Lautoka today and will be part of the Super Saturday Fiji Rugby programme that will be held at Lautoka’s Churchill Park tomorrow for the Fiji Airways Fijian Drua game against Australia’s Sydney Rays. The team will also be providing breakfast at Churchill Park tomorrow from 6am for those who will be attending the rugby match.
