The Rewa FoodCity League football games continued at the Saraswati Primary School grounds in Manoca, Nausori, yesterday. Heading into the 10th round of competition with Wainibokasi Landing leading the points table in the premier division and Korociriciri in the senior division expected an exciting finish to the league games.

Speaking to SUNsports Rewa League secretary Ajinesh Bhan believes that competition is getting tougher as expected.

“So far we are having a very good competition and now that we have reached the second last round of the competition the games and the teams is getting tougher,” he said.

“It’s very interesting now as teams in the premier division are fighting for a spot in the National Club Championship (NCC). As for the senior division teams they are giving all their best to win so they can be promoted to the Premier Division next year.”

Bhan added the participating teams have set a standard in maintaining discipline heading into the dying stages of the competition.

“A lot of discipline is shown from all the teams during this round of competition and that’s a good sign because they want to lose their players to suspension.

“We have very few cards shown during this round of competition so this goes to show how serious the teams are taking the round seriously.”
