Exploring Business Opportunities
Investment Fiji in partnership with New Zealand -Fiji Business Council (NZFBC) will be hosting the annual Business Mission from New Zealand from September 30 to October 4, 2019.
The NZFBC was established with the purpose of maintaining a link and communication between businesses in New Zealand and Fiji.
The council members are from varied sectors in New Zealand and includes individual consultants, SME’s, New Zealand’s largest companies as well as multibillion- dollar turnover companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Investment Fiji’s acting general manager, Ritesh Gosai said the collaboration between the New Zealand-Fiji Business Council and Investment Fiji since 2015 has been fruitful in terms of promoting investment opportunities, facilitating ventures or enterprises and connecting local businesses to such missions.
“The mission has resulted in making direct investments, forming partnerships with Fijian exporters and suppliers to Fijian companies and setting up of branches in Fiji,” Mr Gosai said.
This mission led by Chandar Sen, President of the New Zealand – Fiji Business Council will consist of a number of businesses who are keen to explore investment and trade opportunities in Fiji.
Mr Sen said the council is looking forward for a successful forum with local agencies and stakeholders.
The Business Mission will commence in Nadi on September 30 at Novotel Hotel, Nadi with Acting Commissioner Western Division as a key note speaker. Presentations will also be done by Western Division town councils and presentation of case studies by private businesses followed by site visits.
Investment Fiji will also host the Business Mission to Suva from October 2nd to 4th which includes meetings with Tier 1 agencies, site visits and one-on-one business networking sessions.
