Fiji Airways will be the first airline in the Pacific region to operate the A350-900 XWB aircraft, on November 23.

What made it even better was the fact that Airbus asked Fiji Airways to display “the Island of Viti Levu” at the Dubai Air Show on November 17 and 18, on the way home from Toulouse, France.

As the Fiji Airways managing director and chief executive officer Andre Viljoen highlighted this is a massive honour for Fiji Airways and for Fiji, to have the A350 aircraft displayed as the central attraction for Airbus in one of the largest air-shows in the world.

If you don’t know, the Dubai Airshow is a five-day event being held from November 17 to November 21 at the Dubai Airshow Site, DWC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The record-breaking Dubai Airshow is one of the largest and most successful air shows in the world, connecting aerospace professionals across all areas of the industry to facilitate successful global trade. Dubai is continuing to grow and outpace traditional markets as it becomes an increasingly important global aerospace hub.

In a bid to take advantage of this growth and build their brand, exhibitors and visitors attend the Dubai Airshow.

The first commercial flight of the A350 will be on December 1st – a Nadi-Sydney and a Sydney-Nadi service.

It will be a flight to remember for guests on these flights.

They will be the first commercial guests on the first Fiji Airways A350.

If you’re planning a trip to Sydney in early December, this is one flight you have to be on!

From January 1, the A350s will fly daily between Nadi and Sydney and Nadi and Los Angeles.

So all guests coming from LA will fly exclusively on the A350!

So kudos to the Fiji Airways team for making it all happen.
